Free & Bargain Books Linky – 7th May 2018

If you’re an avid reader on a budget, you’ll find loads of free and bargain books on this linky, plus all the new releases from Beck Valley Books.  Yes, it’s my day to host the weekly book linky from Beck Valley Books.

Here in Wales, we’re in the middle of our version of SATS tests for the kids and Caitlin and Ieuan still have their numerical reasoning paper to sit.  As a reminder, if your kids are going through the stress of exam revision, you’ll find this post about revision and this post about coping with the stress useful. We’re telling our two that all they can do is their best, whilst working through one or two past papers.

In the meantime, we’re making the most of the glorious bank holiday weekend weather by sprucing up the barbecue.  The first chore, of course, is giving the barbecue a good clean.  And don’t forget your basic barbecuing food hygiene rules – if you’re anything like us, it all tends to go out of the window but, particularly for the elderly and youngsters, it’s not worth taking any risks.

We normally keep things simple – chicken kebabs, and sausages and burgers from our local butcher who makes them by hand and keeps them in a freezer at the back of the shop, especially for his faithful customers.  The lamb and mint burgers are divine.

There’s nothing like alfresco dining, though, is there and I have some great recipes for quick and easy summer salads and some great ideas for strawberries to perk up your outdoor meals.

Perfect for a balmy afternoon outside with a good book.

As usual, there are some great books on the linky – and don’t forget you can always add your own to spread a bit of book love.

Don’t forget that I still have plenty to be won on my giveaways page and don’t forget my weekly problem page here.

Happy hunting for your free and bargain books on this link.

Have a great week!
