Autumn is truly here and I love it. Readers of this blog will know Halloween is one of my favourite events and, in fact, I love everything about autumn – the warming food, the colours of the leaves and the crisp freshness of the air.
For some of us, though, the decrease in sunlight may make us more prone to anxiety and depression or even seasonal affective disorder. If this is you, make sure you prioritise your self-care and if you are feeling ropey have a chat with a good friend or even your doctor. Mum is continuing to recuperate thank heavens and I’m very glad that I’m no longer a hospital visitor. If you’ve ever been in hospital you might recognise some of your hospital visitors in this post.
The Husband has been in Holland this week on business and I’m hoping that in spring we might venture to Amsterdam to show the kids the sights. Caitlin read The Diary of Anne Frank last year and I would really love to show her Anne’s house which is now a museum.
In the meantime I’m investing in lots of lovely candles, getting the throws out and preparing to hunker down with all the great TV that’s on – particularly since we’ve discovered NOW TV. And, of course, I’ve plenty to read.

I hope you caught my review of the fabulous motivational book by Davide Di Giorgio entitled “Being Unapologetic, Empowering You to Become an Influential Speaker and Visionary Leader”. If you didn’t, you’ll find it here. Enjoy!
