Before you can learn the workout that works for you, you need fitness goals in place. Are you aiming to get shredded or run a marathon? You don’t necessarily have to run for an hour a day to do well with your physique: you just need to know what to do for a happy, healthy and active life. Some people choose to train their muscles in their core or their legs, but they forget that they are a whole, complete person. Now, these are not a pair! Your exercise programme isn’t going to be the only element in losing weight, and exercise can mean that your weight remains the same – you just take up less space. So, separate your workouts from your weight loss. You need to stick to the science and burning off calories to “earn” a pound of weight loss is just cultivating bad dieting relationships.
